After 'mvn jetty:run-war' the web application properly comes up in german language as the default.
But after mvn jetty:run the german umlaut characters are encoded incorrect, for example 'Hauptmen�' instead of 'Hauptmenü'.
Tested with german Windows XP and Mac OS X, FireFox and Safari.
